Frequently Asked Questions
Am I a good candidate for LASIK surgery?
Most adults over 18 with stable vision, healthy corneas, and a prescription within the treatable range are good candidates for LASIK. The best way to find out is through a free consultation with our surgeon. We check your corneal thickness, pupil size, and overall eye health before recommending any procedure.
Does LASIK surgery hurt?
No. We apply numbing eye drops before the procedure so you feel little to nothing during surgery. Some patients feel mild pressure for a few seconds but no pain. After the procedure, you may notice slight dryness or a gritty feeling for a day or two, which goes away on its own.
How long does it take to recover after LASIK?
Most patients see clearly within 24 hours. You can return to work and normal daily activities the very next day in most cases. Full stabilization of vision typically takes 1 to 3 months. We schedule follow-up visits at 1 day, 1 week, and 1 month after surgery to monitor your progress.
Will I need glasses again after LASIK?
The majority of our patients achieve 20/20 vision or better and do not need glasses for everyday tasks. However, some patients may need a mild prescription for reading as they get older, which is a natural part of aging and not related to LASIK. Our lifetime enhancement program covers you if a touch-up is ever needed.

I wore thick glasses for over 15 years and never thought LASIK was an option for me. After my consultation at ClearVision, I had the procedure done and woke up the next morning seeing 20/15. The team was professional, caring, and made me feel completely at ease throughout the entire process.
